Aqua Riva opened its doors September 1996. Located in downtown Vancouver, Aqua Riva is in a prime spot to view harbourfront activity of moored cruise ships and scenic views of the North Shore mountains. The restaurant is run by General Manager, Ann Bentley. Aqua Riva has received many accolades for its food, wine, service and, of course, the view. A bustling place for business lunch where corporate executives, local celebrities and provincial politicians all gather to enjoy this space during a quick or leisurely lunch break. A bustling place for business lunch, celebrities such as the late Pierre Trudeau, Penny Hardaway (Orlando Magic) and provincial politicians have been spotted in the restaurant. Other fine-dining restaurants owned by the same group are The Salmon House on the Hill in West Vancouver and Horizons on Burnaby Mountain.
The window-wrapped, 6500 square foot dining room & bar features spectacular views of Vancouver's harbourfront and North Shore mountains. Visiting cruise ships and Canada Places' landmark sails are so close you feel as though you've been seated on the promenade deck of a luxury cruise liner yourself. The interior of the restaurant features bold art-deco inspired murals of deep turquoise and rich gold - hand-painted by local artist Dana Irving.
