A man who was allegedly beaten on his front doorstep by two Vancouver police officers has now filed a lawsuit in connection with the incident. The civil action, filed in B.C. Supreme Court, cites the City of Vancouver, the officers involved and Delta Police Department, which was investigating the allegations.
Yao Wei Wu, 44, said he answered a knock on the door of his south Vancouver home in the early morning hours of Jan.21 and was confronted by two plainclothes police officers. The officers, who were responding to a 911 call regarding a domestic dispute, allegedly dragged Wu outside and beat him.
