Killarney Secondary is a dynamic, comprehensive school with over 2000 students in Grades 8 to 12 with 105 teaching staff. It features a strong academic program which accommodates both enrichment activities and modification to ensure that students reach their potential. The school also offers a wide range of electives in order to provide students with a well-rounded education.
The school has recently undergone construction, and in May 2002, a new wing was built consisting of 21 classrooms and a state of the art music lab. Killarney students have access to four fully equipped computer labs with internet access.
Extra-curricular activities abound at the school featuring more than 30 clubs and a full inter-high school sports program. The staff are committed to these activities recognizing the positive impact they have on the overall school culture.
Killarney has enjoyed a multicultural population for many years that includes students from over 35 different countries with a similar number of languages spoken at home.
