Britannia is a comprehensive community school serving approximately 900 students in grades 8 to 12. 64 FTE teachers and 8 support staff work in the school.
There are 11 additional key positions: Community Education Coordinator, Drug and Alcohol Counsellor, School Nurse, School Liaison Police Officer, 2 Alternative Program Workers, 4 Youth and Family Workers, Library Staff Assistant, Computer Technical Support, Career Centre Coordinator, 3 Multicultural Liaison Workers, and one First Nations Support Worker.
Since the school opened ninety-three years ago, the "Britannia Spirit" has been evident in all aspects of school culture, including athletics, music, drama, service clubs, student leadership and community involvement. Students take pride in their school and, through their individual and collective contributions, maintain the history of excellence established by previous graduates.
